The first two editions of "Holsteiner Mare Lines" were therefore very popular and quickly sold out, so a new edition became necessary. The 3rd edition now presented is designed as a reference work.

The extensive photographic material contains over 90 color photos and 60 black and white shots, some of which are historical, with many previously unpublished images of broodmares and mothers of international top horses. All stallions and international sport horses have been assigned to their maternal lines. All available information from Germany and abroad has been incorporated.

This book lists the Holstein lines from number 4 to 8900, including the approved stallions, with special emphasis on the approved and HLP (High Performance Test) winners. 87 lines are shown with full-page pedigree charts, which indicate which branches the approved stallions come from.
